What a weekend!

Wow, this weekend was so much fun!

Were going into the 6th week of the semester, so midterms have been taking over our lives. As I walk through the house each day, I see girls studying in every possible corner of the house, holding study groups, and helping each other through their course material. Everyone has been working so hard for the past few weeks, it was definitely time for some fun.

This week we had so many fun study breaks! On Friday, we had our first invite of the semester. Then, on Saturday we had our Crescent Classic Philanthropy.

Our invite on Friday was themed "Only in America." We went to this really cool warehouse downtown that was covered in western decorations, had fun carnival games, a photo booth, and lots of room for dancing. Leanna, who planned the event, did a fantastic job!
Gorgeous Gamma Phis and their dates (wait, why are there 4 dates for 3 girls?)
Awww! Erica, Quinn, and Lizzie in their America outfits.

my date and I hanging out with my little and the venue

Gorgeous new members all dressed up!

On saturday, we had our philanthropy benefitting Troy Camp! Each fall, we hold a handball tournament (basically water polo without the water). Each year, the guys get more and more competitive. This year was better than ever. Guys arrived early in the day to enjoy some pizza and warm up, then the games began.
Guys were eliminated once they lost once. In the end, it came down to a fierce battle between Lambda Chi Alpha and Zeta Beta Tau. Both were amazing, but in the end Lambda came out victorious, winning this tournament for the 3rd year in a row!

Lambda destroying competition!

Betsy and Sonya with part of their team
Katie with her SigEpic team
Kat, all dressed up for ZBT!
Gamma Phi and Beta throwing up the Gamma!
Kappa Sigma. Classic.
Hope everyone had a blast this weekend! I can't wait for the end of this week. This week is BIG/LITTLE REVEAL WEEK! I am soooo excited even though I am now going to be a grandbig AND a great-grandbig.

love in IIKE,
Tess

G Phi B-eyond Cool

Hi friends! Thought I'd take a second to highlight some of the cool things that USC Gamma Phis have been up to recently!

PEOPLE YOU SHOULD HIGH-FIVE:

Emily Smith—For being an ICE GIRL!! The spirit squad for USC’s hockey team has a kick-ass new member! How cool! (PUNNNNN) Dancing on ice?! But how? That's so impressive!!

(Top, Center. Yeahhh buddy.)

Nicole Barrows—for being a USC VARISTY SOCCER PLAYER. She even has the gear to prove it! (and by gear I mean abs)

Laura Pochowski—For being my big! We had a sleepover recently. Stayed up late, talked about our feelings. It was adorable. Ask her about it!

Oh and she also had a really impressive internship over this past summer at Flatiron Construction Corp. in Northern California. A couple weeks ago she went back up to give a presentation of the work she did and won best intern! Received a scholarship from the company!

Allison Robbins and Sara Chronertfor just KILLIN’ IT at All Hail A Cappella!
two OBSCENELY-talented Troy Tones singers charmed the collective pants off the audience as they came out in Katy Perry—“Last Friday Night”—themed garb and BELTED. IT. OUT.
The fun they were obviously having on stage was infectious and had the audience constantly cheering and laughing. Robbins’ not only had the most fantastic gold pants on I have ever seen, but did a SPECTACULAR job on her solo. Like, if you see either of them around, could you like, get an autograph for me? Seriously though?

Tessa Wihak—She’s from Canada. Good for her!

(She’s the one in the Sombrero! I know. I’m confused too.)

Aw I love being a Gamma Phi. These girls are CONSTANTLY doing really impressive things that make me proud to share their letters!

And by transitive property, I too am accomplishing amazing things.

I’ll be expecting that high-five.
